Description
Papers from the Second European Convention for Full Employment held at the European Parliament in Brussels on 4/5 February 1999
“The ending of mass unemployment requires a new era in European politics, based on comprehensive policies, combined and co-ordinated action, public debate reaching up from all levels of European society and a responsible approach to sustainability, equal opportunities, social justice and a global New
Deal. A new model of European social development is needed so that decisive and urgent action can be started on a scale forceful enough to overcome the many deep-seated causes of mass unemployment.”
