“This pamphlet will deal only with the problem of economic policy; it will not deal with the equally important problems of political mobilisation, organisation, education, development of mass media presenting the socialist standpoint and so forth. Socialist policy in the past has too often suffered from a sort of schizophrenia separating “what we can do under capitalism” from “what we shall do under socialism”. Our problem here and now is to find realisable socialist policies to fight for today in this capitalist society in which we are enmeshed.”
