Description
By John Hughes
“Trade unions have to be meticulous in their handling of information and analysis on pay movements, since the bargaining process means that their statements are repeatedly subjected to critical scrutiny and attempted rebuttal. It is perhaps timely to suggest that the Confederation of British Industries should attempt to portray a more balanced and convincing account of the profit experience of British companies. The present note attempts to put recent and current developments in company profits – and their connection with current prices legislation – in perspective.”
