Description
By John Fekete, Victor Rabinovitch and Bonnie Campbell
“Quebec and Canada must be analysed in relation to the French, British and American empires, and the struggle of the Quebec people must be seen as·a movement towards decolonization and abolition of class oppression, towards the repossession of their history and the creation of their f1:1ture in a new society built by,and for,the new man. This is not an arbitrary or abstract process. The problems which exist, have political, social, economic, cultural, and military features, and their solution, likewise, will have political, social, economic, cultural and military features. The militant challenge by the FLO to the existing order and the massive reaction by Trudeau, whether or not one approves of either, stand as a development and a legacy of a long historical tradition, which we must seek to understand.”
