“We are fully aware of what we want: it is a political Socialist system. A system in which there will exist a partnership built on equality between political and nonpolitical organisations, a system in which there will be selfgovernment both in communities and institutions, where there will be an institutionally anchored control of power, all the basic freedoms and freedom of religion, all the freedoms formulated in the Declaration of Human Rights, ratified by Czechoslovakia.”
